Busy Girls!

This week has been a busy week for Avree and I and it is only half over! I have had to take care of the yard work since Matt is out of town (his last week traveling!!!), I had a Dr appt, we went to Oceans of Fun and Worlds of Fun, and still trying organizing/recieve stuff for Avree's room. I must be "nesting" today cause I have done a couple loads of laundry, washed our sheets (both mine and Avree's, something I do every week), mowed and weed whacked and trying to put my house back in order. I have been running around like crazy today. But atleast my house looks "put back together" and somewhat clean.. Just in time for Matt to get home and the weekend to ruin all the work I have done today :-)
Avree LOVED OOF and WOF! I am so glad I had her nap before we started the afternoon at OOF. We were there by 2 and didn't get home till 6:15ish. We did OOF first and then decided to walk over to WOF and visit Camp Snoopy (where the little kid rides are). Long afternoon! She was wore out and super tired and so was I. It was a lot of work running after her, while pushing a stroller full of stuff. I definitely got a good work out in that day :-)

Vroom, Vroom..

Her room is ALMOST complete! We still need to paint a strip behind her bed, hang the artwork, hang the curtains and get the little knick-knacky stuff to put around her room :-) Once I get the curtains hung and the artwork hung, I will take another picture.

Pregnancy- Had my Dr appointment today. Everything was good and baby had a VERY strong heartbeat. So awesome to hear that sound and reassuring to know everything is going ok. The Dr commented on how active this baby is. She had the heart doppler thing on my stomach and she could feel and see my stomach going crazy!! So fun to feel :-) I am measuring right on target (22 1/2 weeks) so hoping this baby will be on time or maybe even early.. I can only hope ;)

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend! We are staying around here and Matt's parents are going to come stay for a couple days. We plan on going to OOF and WOF!! It sounds like a nice weekend to be outside!

New Blog Address & Baby Update

I hope everyone got my email about our new blog site. When I first decided to start a blog it was right when we had Avree, so I thought the perfect address was something to do with her.. well since I have kept up with blogging, I figured I better change it to something that fits our growing family :-)

A little update on the pregnancy- I am in the middle of my 21st week right now! I can't believe I am already half way there!!I have been feeling great! This pregnancy has been much easier/better in the beginning than the 1st one! I am so glad too. I did have some nausea and was a little tired but nothing that I couldn't handle. I do still get my back aches, which are not fun. They are so low that I can't really do anything to help relieve the pain.
I always am reminding Avree that she can't jump on me anymore or lay on me when I am laying down. When we ask her about the baby, she will sometimes lift up my shirt, kiss my belly or rub it. She sometimes feels like talking to the baby too. It's so cute. But she has gotten pretty annoyed though at times when people keep asking her about the baby. (I think everyone was/is trying to see if she will tell them the gender) so when people keep asking her about the baby and if mom has a baby in her belly, she screams "NO!!" haha.. Poor thing.. Just wait till there is actually a baby here :-)

New Bedroom: Work in Progress

We are getting closer and closer to finishing Avree's new room. We have most of the big furniture in- 2 bookcases and window bench, and tomorrow her bed frame will arrive! We still need to hang things/decorate the room, but most of the BIG pieces are in and done!
We started having her sleep in her new room last week and it has been a great transition. I think it helped that we had her in a toddler bed since last summer (in the "baby room") and the only thing different is sleeping in a new room. She sometimes doesn't feel like napping or going to bed when we want her to so she will keep coming out of her room, which she did that in the "old room" too. I think she likes her new room and bigger bed.
Everytime Avree and I go upstairs to get her dressed or for bed time, we both start walking into the "baby room". haha. After we catch ourselves she says "baby room" and walks into her room. :-)
Here are a couple pictures of the work in progress...
(The wall color is an olive green.. It's hard to tell cause I took the pictures at night.)

My little Cheese ball

I have moved over most of her clothes, just not her pj's, sock, underwear yet. I need to get closet storage things first but I did get the baby room "put back together" and sorta cleaned out. I must have been nesting when I went through both rooms. I got the front crib piece back up, crib mattress raised, sheets washed, mobile hung, closet cleaned out, furniture cleaned/wiped down... I was pooped out after all that :)
Since we are keeping the gender a secret till DDay, we are not doing anything with the room till after the baby comes. (Maybe we will need to change the curtain and rug color or maybe we won't :)) We won't be using that room for the 1st month or so after baby comes home, since it will be sleeping in the bassinet in our room. So here is a picture of the baby room put back together:

Avree and I are headed to Pella tomorrow for Tulip Time. I am so excited to eat the food!! Being 19 1/2 weeks pregnant and eating amazing "junk" food is going to be GREAT!! :-) Matt will meet us Saturday in Pella and then Sunday the 3 of us are headed to the Quad Cities. Matt has work there next week so we will get to join him for a week and get to see my mom, and his family (Melhus side). I think it will be a fun filled week.. well for Avree and I :p
